1.17     Paul Cursed Christ!

Paul not only cursed the Law given by God, he also cursed the Prophet sent by God.[1] In his letter to the Galatians, Paul says concerning Jesus:

“When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." (3:13, NLT)

Commenting on Galatians above, Dr Roshan Enam, a Muslim who reverted from Christianity, says:

“We Muslims have instructions from Allah to pray always, “Peace be upon them”, for all the Prophets, because they are the honored and the blessed people, chosen by Allah the Almighty Himself, for the noble purpose of the guidance of mankind. Only an enemy can wish for them to be cursed, for obvious reasons. The Gospels and the Quran show the correct and the deserved attitude towards Jesus (peace be upon him). For example, the Gospel has:

“Look at my servant, whom I have chosen. He is my Beloved, and I am very pleased with him. I will put my Spirit upon him and he will proclaim justice to the nations” (Matthew 12:18, NLT).

The Holy Quran:

“He (Jesus) said, ‘I am indeed a servant of Allah; He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet; and He has made me blessed wheresoever I be...” (Surah Maryam 19:30-31)[2]
